Surf Life Saving is an activity that has a wide range of participants from different backgrounds and ages who are all actively involved across difference levels. Youth are a significant and important cross section of Surf Life Saving as they represent not only the future of the movement but also a large make-up of the active patrolling membership.

Surf Life Saving Sydney acknowledges the importance of youth and engagement of them to drive key programs and changes throughout Surf Life Saving. Surf Life Saving Sydney aims to actively engage our youth members through development programs, decision making processes, focus groups and committees.
