The Sydney Branch RWC group consists of 4 Wave runners (otherwise known as Jet Skis). With the responsibility of supporting the clubs and patrolling un-patrolled locations, the RWC Group operates out of three different locations within the Sydney Branch.
Support Ski 1 : Primary role is as a training Ski for Sydney Branch. Ski 1 can be tasked by the Support Operations Manager to provide additional support to rostered ski patrols or can be used for water safety for special events.
Support Ski 2 : Primary operational area is Sutherland Shire Local Government (LGA) from Wanda to Cronulla Beach.
Support Ski 3 : Primary operational area is Randwick Local Government (LGA) from Clovelly to South Maroubra.
Support Ski 4 : Primary operational area is Waverley Local Government Area (LGA) from Ben Buckler to Bronte Beach.
The RWC group in addition to the normal patrolling duties provides water safety at all surf carnivals, ocean swims and other aquatic events. The ability of the ski to respond quickly, its heightened maneuverability in the surf and experienced operators make the RWC Group a vital part of the Support Operations Group within Sydney Branch.
