Bronte

Bronte Beach, located slightly to the south of Tamarama, is a larger beach at 250m long. The parkland and beach are set in a pleasant valley, with Bronte SLSC situated slightly to the northern end of the beachfront. A safe rock pool is located to the south. This popular beach is easily accessible, with reasonable amounts of parking and frequent services by Sydney Buses. As far as swimming goes, Bronte is not the safest beach by any means. Two to three strong rip currents are generally present at Bronte and swimming between the flags is definitely recommended. The southern ‘Bronte Express’ is a permanent rip that will move any unsuspecting swimmer out to sea very quickly. Board riders generally favour the southern area.
