Surf Sports

Surf Sports plays a pivotal role in the surf life saving community and is unique in its intent, which is to aid in development skills necessary to carry out Surf Life Savings’ core purpose, saving lives on our beaches.  Surf Lifesavers have the opportunity to compete in a range of disciplines including iron person, ski, swim, board, surf boat, springs, flags, distance running, pool rescue and IRB racing. Competitors also have many team events that they can take part in and they can do it from age 8 to 108.

These competitions are held at Club, Branch, State, National and International levels.

SLSS Surf Sports supports the running of local carnivals in our Branch, District. On this website you can find information on upcoming carnivals, representative teams, latest circulars, information on officiating and coaching and carnival appointments.
