Busy Long Weekend for our Clubs

Great conditions over the long weekend saw our Clubs and their patrols managing large crowds on the beaches.
The Branch extends thanks to all clubs for their vigilance and efforts over what was a very hot weekend.  Special note to the majority of our Clubs who extended their patrol hours over the weekend to be there for the public who were still enjoying the weather and conditions after normal end of patrol hours.
Our support services Surf Rescue 30,  Duty Officers & Rescue Coordinators, RWC Operators who were also tasked to situations outside of patrol hours over the weekend, thank you and a job well done to all.
Bronte was kept very busy over Sunday and Monday with a high number of  rescues, Wanda and North Bondi also with high rescue stats on the Monday.
Stats for the Branch over long weekend were :
Total Rescues – 198
Ambulances Called – 18
13SURF Incidents – 7
Well done and thank you to all members who patrolled over the October long weekend.
