International Women’s Day 2022

SLS Sydney celebrates International Women’s Day 2022, and acknowledges the commitment of so many women to Surf Lifesaving across our Branch.

For the last 41 years we have had Women as part of our Patrols, but prior to then, many women had major impacts across many areas of our Surf Clubs from the very early days .

Today half our membership is made up of Women across all our areas, and we are an amazing organisation with them, from Nippers to lifesavers, competitors, management, and of course Life Members.

The strength, determination, leadership and commitment shown by the women in Surf Lifesaving is an inspiration to us all.
