Rescue of the Month March 2025

Congratulations to Elouera 14/3/25, South Maroubra 30/3/25, Tamarama 15/3/25, and Bronte 26/3/25 members who were nominated by their clubs for ROM March 2025. All members involved in these rescues are to be commended for their efforts.
The Bronte rescue on 26/3/25 has been recognised as Branch Winner for month of March 2025.
At 7pm 26 March 2025 at Bronte Beach, two swimmers were spotted in distress just north of the Bronte express. Very quickly, one got into difficulty and began shouting for help. Members of the public tried to assist but were unable to help. Fortunately two very capable Bronte members, Craig & Georgie who were swimming nearby and quickly swung into action – triaging the situation and rescuing the two men from the water. One of the men had taken on water and was assisted to the beach, oxygen was administered and patient supported by fellow members Luis, Dave and Troy. The amazing team response from our off-duty members saved both men’s lives.
Congratulations Bronte SLSC
