HLTAID Upgrades for ARTC TAFs

There is a new version(5) of the ARTC course being released shortly which incorporates the HLTAID015 award (in place of HLTAOD007). In order to deliver the new course in the near future, current ARTC TAFs will need to obtain the following units of competency:  HLTAID015 – Provide Advanced Resuscitation & Oxygen Therapy, HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
Branch has organised some accelerated upgrade sessions with the SLSNSW Academy.

SLS Sydney Pre-season Club Conference

Season 21/22 Pre-Season Club Conference 
9am-2pm Saturday  21 August 
Special Note: Presentation format will be guided by COVID-19 Rules from NSW Government
Purpose: To align, share, inform, challenge and activate positive and growth actions for Season 21/22 

 Who should attend from each club:

  • Presidents /Deputy Presidents
  • Director of Lifesaving and Deputy + 2 Patrol Captains
  • Chief Training Officers and Deputy + 2 Lead Trainers 
  • Director of Junior Development and Deputy
  • Director of Surf Sports + Coaches
  • Director of Youth + Junior Captains 
  • Director of Member Services + Managers

Clubs may also like to send your ‘emerging leaders’ in each of the above roles. Consider leaders that are involved in the day-to-day management of the club attending.

SMBM Course August 2021

As per Clrcular 04 Branch has scheduled 3 x SMBM courses for the first half of season 2021-22.  EOIs from Clubs are open for the August 2021 course – closing date 30/7/2021.  All information and dates can be read in circular.  Members interested should contact their Club Captain and or Club Chief Training Officer.
We ask Clubs to consider members who are current patrol Vice Captains and who have experience on the beach of a minimum of 2 seasons , as prospective members for these SMBM award courses.
