EOIs are called from Clubs for members interested and eligible to become Trainers and gain the Training Officer Award. We have scheduled two courses leading into next season. Details can be found here in Branch Circular 55.

SLSS Announces Finalists 2019-20 Awards of Excellence
Thank you to our Clubs for submitting nominations for the SLSS 2020 Awards of Excellence. It was fantastic to see a strong recognition of members and the calibre of nominations is outstanding. The winner announcements will be pre-recorded and streamed on SLSS Facebook and Youtube from 4 pm on Saturday 30 May 2020.

EOIs SLSS Duty Officer Season 2020/21 & 2021/22 are open
Surf Life Saving Sydney is seeking Expressions of Interest for Duty Officer positions to be appointed in the Eastern Suburbs (Waverley/Randwick) and Sutherland/Royal National Park Operational Areas for seasons 2020/21 and season 2021/22. SLSS COVID-19 UPDATE
SLS Sydney met with Club Presidents this week to review the Federal Government COVIDSafe Roadmap. The attached position paper has been developed regarding club openings and facility management aligning to Step 1 of the Roadmap. Most clubs will remain closed or have very limited access under the current requirements. Requirements in the area are changing regularly so updates will be posted when changes occur.

RWC Operator Peter Harvie awarded Branch ROM Winner for April
Congratulations to Peter Harvie member of the Branch Support Operations Group RWC Operator who has been recognised by his peers for the Branch Rescue of the Month April 2020.
Peters efforts rescuing a father and son kayak paddler who were out of their vessel at Gordons Bay on Sunday 5 April in choppy sea conditions with a wave heigh of 0.5 – 1.5 metres is to be commended. The rescue nomination can be read here
