Gary Daly was presented with his SLSNSW State Life Membership award at the recent 2018 State Championships. Gary’s contribution to Surf Life Saving over the years has been tremendous and his elevation to State Life Membership is well deserved recognition for his contribution. Well done Gary.

Branch Winner ROM February 2018 – Congratulations Burning Palms SLSC
Congratulations to members of Patrol 3 Burning Palms SLSC who have been recognised as the Branch ROM Winner for February 2018. Incident took place at approx 12.10 pm on 18th February at Figure 8 Rock Pools and Burning Palms Beach.

At the Branch Age Championships the Branch announced our Junior Lifesavers of the Year for season 2017-2018. Congratulations to
Sophie Burns, Elouera SLSC and Riley Porteous, Wanda SLSC
The Award was presented by Branch President, George Shales – Director of Junior Development, Doug Hawkins, and Sydney Airport Representative our long term supporter and Branch partner,Sally Cummine.
Sophie and Riley were selected from eight finalists, from across the Branch. The finalists were

Sydney Branch wishes to congratulate all the finalists, and our two new Junior Lifesavers of the Year, Sophie and Riley. Both Sophie and Riley have been long term members of their clubs, and have also attended the SLS Sydney Junior Development Program.
These young lifesavers will now attend the SLSNSW Junior Lifesaver of the Year Development Camp, and compete against 20 other Junior Lifesavers from across ten other Branches, for the State Junior Lifesaver of the Year Award. We wish them well in their endeavour, and know they will do Sydney Branch and their Clubs proud.
