Sydney Branch members are winners at NSW State Awards of Excellence
Sydney Branch was well represented at the NSW State Awards of Excellence function on Saturday night at the Four Seasons with many nominees from our Clubs.
Congratulations to all nominees and we are proud to announce and recognise the following State AOE winners :

Kerrie Hammell, Cronulla – Trainer of the Year
Wayne Druery, Cronulla – Surf Sports Official of the Year

TAF’s Professional Development
SLSS will be holding the first compulsory Professional Development workshop as part of the four (4) step process for endorsement and re-endorsement of Trainers, Assessors and Facilitators (TAFs).
2 dates are available : Saturday 20th August 2016 or Sunday 21st August 2016 at Maroubra SLSC 10am – 3pm (lunch will be provided).

Congratulations to our new Branch Life Members
It is our pleasure to inform you of the successful elevation to Sydney Branch Life Membership of your fellow lifesavers – Michael Bretherton, Richard Bignold and Gregory Allum OAM.
The Branch Council confirmed these worthy members of our highest Branch recognition at their meeting last night (2/8/2016).
Mick and Greg were both present at the meeting last night and were both very humbled by the recognition. Unfortunately Dick could not be with us last night as he is currently overseas, however was delighted to receive the news of his Sydney Branch Life Membership.
Congratulations to our newest Branch Life Members.
SLSA IT Systems Training @ Branch Office – CANCELLED
It is with regret that we advise due to insufficient responses this training will not be conducted on Saturday 17/9/2016. Unfortunately we did not get the minimum number response 10 for this training to proceed as required and mentioned in Circular 05.
SLSA IT have advised that if any of the attendees need any assistance with systems, to please contact the IT Helpdesk Telephone : 1300 724 006 or refer to the online help manuals which are available for all systems.
SLSA IT Systems training has been organised for Sydney Branch Clubs to be held Saturday 17th September 2016 10 am to 3pm.
To register your members EOI to attend, please do so via the online form from the Branch website or the link within the circular.
