Sisters In Surf Patrol
Sisters in the Surf Patrol: suggested date Sunday 12th March 2023
Online Information Sessions at 7 to 7:45pm on Tuesday 31.1.23.
Celebrating Women in Surf & International Women’s Day
Whilst we encourage female members to celebrate and volunteer, we value the contributions of all members and any patrolling member is welcome to volunteer and support this patrol. Sisters in the Surf is a special patrol which celebrates the 40+ years of women joining the Surf Life Saving movement. It welcomes any patrol member’s support on the day and aligns well to International Women’s Day Celebrations which fall on 8th March this year.
This is a Surf Life Saving Sydney endorsed initiative as well as an SLS Australia innovation award winner. We encourage it to be held at your Club’s patrol on 12th March to align to International Women’s Day. Please also think about adding it to your annual patrol roster. The zoom information session online is to share with your diversity champions/Lifesaving representatives or anyone interested to attend:
Tuesday 31st January at 7pm to 7:45pm- Link:

Rainbow Beaches Patrol Sunday 19th February 2023
Hello to all our Clubs across Sydney Branch!
“Diversity is about what makes each of us different. It is the key to strong vibrant communities and environments. Let us make Rainbow Beaches and future celebrations work in a way that works for you and your Club. Everyone is welcome. This is a shared moment across our beaches. Surf Life Saving Sydney is a supporter of Rainbow Beaches and invites you to celebrate.”

SAVE THE DATE for Rainbow Beaches Patrol Celebrations: Sunday 19 February 2023.
Diverse ocean environments & communities are strong & resilient. Making everyone welcome gets the best out of our diversity. Surf Life Saving NSW & Lifesavers with Pride invite Clubs across NSW to show the strength & diversity of our communities by celebrating Rainbow Beaches on Sunday 19 February 2023. Rainbow Beaches celebrations involve whatever you want to do to show that everyone is welcome at your beach & your Club eg activating patrols with rainbow flags and colours, engaging nippers and parents with coloured zinc and chalk art and getting local community groups involved to share the fun. Clubs should have received an event pack to support this amazing opportunity. Could all Sydney Clubs nominate a member (or group) to co-ordinate their Club’s celebrations, with help from Sydney Branch and Lifesavers with Pride and complete Jotform link.
